GRRRR…..
I read 5 or 6 different blogs on most days, and I like to read the messages that people leave. It really annoys me when people comment on blogs and use the word delurking.
“I’m just delurking to say I am sooooo happy for you.” etc.
Duh. Just say it! Are we supposed to think your comment has more weight because you haven’t said anything for a while?!?! It’s as annoying as people who start questions with, “Can I ask you something?”
You just did, moron. Get on with it.
When you read a blog, what ticks you off?
You’re right! Although I always interpret the “delurking” thing as a way to bring special attention to yourself. “Look at me! I’m posting!” Although in another sense, as a blogger, I might interpret it as “nothing you’ve said up to this point merited comment, but I’ll make an exception today.” ;- )
