As previously mentioned, I got a new sewing machine. It’s a little Singer. It was on sale and was very cheap to begin with, but, I really needed a new one. My old singer used to belong to a college roommate of mine, and it was really beat up. It dropped about 1/3 of it’s stitches and the rubber band from a head of broccoli was holding the presser foot together.
Now, I have my first new machine. I decided to run the contraption through its paces and was just fooling around. I yelled at the machine several times for not working properly. But, after a bit, it straightened up. (Can you say “operator error?”) It has one of those annoying bobbin carriages that are impossible to load properly.
Quite by accident, I made this quilt:
Whadyathink? The bidding starts at $5.

how do you make a quilt by accident? Is there a pattern for that?
looks nice by the way.
Well – You just start cutting strips and sewing the short ends together, making a giant long strip. Then you set an arbitrary length and take cuttings off the big strip. Then you start sewing the cut strips together. I call this pattern “strip club.”
I’ll give you the cake of your choosing for your quilt:
banana/sourcream bundt cake
pound cake with lemon glaze
fresh fig cake
Ah HAH! Temptress! You know I’m dieting!!!! Evil woman…… we’ll talk.
I like that method. “strip club” …..cute.
I’ll send you another Starbucks gift card!
The feet go perfect with the quilt
I love the quilt.
I thought I should show my feet, see as how most of my quilts look like I made them with my feet! That and the feet help show the size of the quilt. (assuming that you know that how monstrous my feet are…)
