It’s 8:45 and everyone is clean and dressed. What do I do now?
(Did you hear a rumble???)
Every time I bathe the girls, they poop almost immediately. Why do I bother to clean them at all if the first thing they do is foul themselves? I am sure it has something to do with relaxing in [...]

What a full week we’ve been having. Since Saturday, we’ve been to a puppet show, made pipe-cleaner and pasta animals, had a nervous breakdown and been to the zoo!
The puppet show, called “The Dinosaur in the Closet,” was cute. If you ever have the chance to go to Atlanta’s Center for Puppetry Arts, take it. [...]

No babies either. There’s a reason for that. Babies take a good bit of the fun out of the Oscars.
We had our annual Oscar party last night, and it was a good time, but I was overwhelmed by my children. It’s really, really hard to try to throw a dinner party when you have two [...]

Last chance…..

Last night, we watched the lunar eclipse. We weren’t total lunatics. We did other stuff, too, but we did make it a point to go out every so often an see one of the beauties of nature progress through it’s cycle. It was nice. However, to have a lunar eclipse, [...]

(Blogger’s note – this should be dated February 20th, but I didn’t hit publish till I sat down to write this morning! Ooops!)
I got a phone message yesterday from a person whose name was familiar sounding to me, but I couldn’t be sure if I knew her. The number to call her back was [...]
While we are defining our terms…

Heather Here, digging through some thick vocabulary issues, has been straightening out those who seem to speak from the bottom of the literary barrel. I wanted to chime in, not so much with a correction, but a language oddity.
Fat chance.
It’s one of my favorite expressions. My husband pointed out to me the other [...]

Remember my goddaughter Bailie?
Well, her mother sent a link to her cheering in the Championships. And, No, I can’t pick out which one she is, but they, collectively, are super cool.
When you click the link, you will need to search for Greenup County Youth Recreation Junior and click the box.
Her Mother said:
The girls [...]
I hate it when I commit a Federal Crime.

I accidentally robbed a bank this morning. I hate it when that happens.
I had a few checks to cash, and an infant in tow, so I went to the drive up teller. I was only making a deposit, but I still hate to use the ATM, least they should make an error. One has no [...]
The kind of help only a best friend can give.

I was looking for help on this quilt conundrum I’ve been facing, and my best friend offers this advice:
Okay, here’s what I do in this situation: I very carefully stare at the craft project at hand, scratch my head, and then tenderly fold them up and put them in a labeled box in my [...]
