Saralyn is 8-months old today. Eight months, how they go by in a blink.
So much has changed, but so much is still the same:
She has some hair now, but still no teeth.
She scoots around on the floor, but still doesn’t crawl.
She’s HUGE, but is still so small.
I know you aren’t supposed to compare your children, [...]

Oh, Ohh!!!! OH! I saw A BEE!!!! A real honest to goodness honey bee! YEA!!! It’s the first one I have seen this year and I am WAY happy. Cause, man alive, if you have one, more will follow! I have been so worried that I haven’t seen [...]

I just got back to the house after taking the loaded Rickshaw out for another neighborhood spin past the Marcado.
It’s a great walk, and I always make a point of going to the bakery there. Today, I waited for the hot bread to come out of the oven. Fresh. Hot. Fluffy. BREAD. To quote Nicky [...]
By the way…

I bought a new stroller over the weekend. Well, new to me at least. And, all in all, I am satisfied. It’s a Baby Trend Double Jogger, and I got it on e-bay for $35 (local pickup). I like looking for baby stuff on e-bay, especially the bulky, short lived stuff. [...]

She awoke dry. She hit the pot. She put her panties back on.

YEA!
Oh, my gosh! IT WORKED… now about that chamber pot

We had the usual horror show before we went to dinner tonight: I tell Elly she needs to sit on the pot before we go out, it’s gonna be a long time before she will be able to pee in her own pot so she should really get in there and try, she has a [...]
Stubborn, thy name is potty.

My due date buddy sent me this quiz. Mostly I think of this pass along e-mail junk unfavorably, but I have a soft spot in my heart for linguistics.
After all, I spent all those years in broadcasting school getting rid of my Youngstowner accent.
And my best friend is a language lab director.
And my husband and [...]
