church spam

Nope, the title isn’t the latest in Lutheran casseroles.  I’m just a bit put out by the VOLUME of junk e-mail my fellow churchgoers send out.
Some are laugh out loud funny, but that is the exception, not the rule.  Some are woefully tacky. Many contain airbrushed and computer generated pictures of angles and sunsets and breathy puppies holding [...]

Roseola

I think Saralyn has Roseola.  She’s had the fever that comes for three days then goes.  Now she has the rash.  From what I’ve read, that’s the pattern and it is the #1 cause for fever in children between ages 9 and 12 months.  Elly had the fever a week ago and the incubation time [...]

Me and the electronics are gonna throw-down in the exercise yard.  I’ve killed three computers, a cell phone and a squirrel in the last 6-weeks or so.
I’m telling the judge NOT GUILTY by reason of incompetence.  I didn’t mean to be the end for any of these devices.
The first victimwas my office computer.  It kept [...]

Door knob shine

I met with our real estate agent today.  I’ve been working day and night to pack up the house.   Earlier I spent a great deal of time getting the side door cleaned and the wood oiled and the glass cleaned.  I was trying to make it look good.  And she comes to the front [...]

Packing it in

We’ve been working like elves in a shoemaker’s shop getting this house ready to go onto the market.  We’ve cleaned, sorted, tossed, donated and stored.  I’ve even put some stuff on EBAY.  Wanna see my first e-bay sale item?
I’ve also rearranted the furniture in the den.  It’s like I’ve already moved!  After you’ve picked up [...]

worst. mother. ever.

The mystery fever, at long last, I’m pretty sure, is OVER.
Eleanor came down with a fever on Wednesday afternoon, and had it through mid-day today.  She was the saddest I have ever seen her.  She was a limp dish rag.  She had no appetite.  She barfed.
I took her to the doctor on Saturday morning when [...]

Up all night with a hot chick

My oldest baby had a high fever all night. I made Tony go to the all night pharmacy to get some Children’s Motrin at 4AM, as the Tylenol wasn’t working. Eleanor was a sad sad little sack all night long.
Finally, I gave her the Motrin and it has taken effect.
“How are you, sugar [...]

My Little Miss Funny Pants

I just looked over and Saralyn is at the clean laundry basket playing peek a boo.  With my underpants.
She love peek a boo.  But using my underpants is the BOMB for her, cause she can peek out the leg hole.  I just can’t stop laughing.

HEY! I just got a Fed Ex delivery. It was a box of Alaskan Salmon Steaks. If I had to guess, I would say they are from Bambi, who is taking an Alaskan cruise with her brother this week. I’m THRILLED!
Yummy! Tomorrow’s dinner! Thank you, Bambi!

Fevers

The girls have both had fevers in the last two day, and I am not sure they are related. Saralyn is cutting a new tooth, and Eleanor has started preschool, so she is surely sharing a virus or two with the 11 other oozing disease bags she’s in class with. However, she is [...]
