I voted. Now, how do I turn off the campaign?

Way busy these last several days. Trunk or Treat. Baking birthday cakes. Trips to the store, the park, the church. The Zoo tomorrow. Trick or treat, too. I have a dozen people coming for a little girl’s first birthday and a breakfast party on Saturday morning. My kitchen is a WRECK. My back hurts. My [...]

Tony and I really loved dating. That is why we got married, after all: we really enjoyed dating each other. For years after we wed, we continued to go on dates. Then came the children. We’ve thought of going on dates, and haven’t really found the time. In fact, just before Saralyn was born, we [...]
So long, Buddy
Posted in Uncategorized, tagged dead fish on October 22, 2008 | 1 Comment »
Sadly, our fish Buddy was found laying on the bottom of his bowl today. He was a fine pet, in so far as a fish is a pet.
We’ve lovingly intured him in the back yard. Well, actually we flushed him, but the result is the same as we have a septic tank.
So Long, and Thanks [...]
A new use for a baby butt

Saralyn still likes two naps a day: a morning catnap, and a longer afternoon nap. Playgroup seems to keep her interest enough that she often skips the morning snooze, but as soon as playtime is over, she’s demanding of a nap. Today she fell asleep before I got out of the church driveway. That was [...]
A not so lazy day at home

In an effort to save money, and burn less gas, I stay at home on Mondays as often as I can. Sometimes I take the girls and walk to the International Market up the street. If I don’t get out of the house every day, I go nuts. Today, however, I have happily stayed right [...]

Undecided about the upcoming election? Are you a woman of childbearing years? Have you ever been? I have to tell you that I really like Obama. Especially after what he said about his view on abortion, specifically partial birth abortion. Like Bigfoot, PBA is rumored to exist and sometimes people go out looking for it. [...]
We’re (almost) worthless, but we had a good time
Posted in Uncategorized, tagged team trivia on October 19, 2008 | Leave a Comment »
We went to the big team trivia game today. We didn’t win. Not even close. We did win $100 in door prize money.
It wasn’t that we didn’t know the answers, it was just that we didn’t write down the correct answer. For all but one of the answers, we said the right thing out loud [...]
My Christmas Wish List
Posted in Uncategorized, tagged christmas, Christmas List, wishlist on October 14, 2008 | 1 Comment »
It’s October 1st. I’m getting my thoughts started now. Here’s what I want for Christmas:
The stair-step thing that you put spice jars on in the cabinet to see the spices in the back.
A new king-size mattress. Extra FIRM. One you can flip. None of that Memory Foam or pillow top stuff. No baby puke, please.
Anything [...]

Today is the one year anniversary of this blog. 209 posts, 8,042views, 229 approved comments. Wow.
The two most popular topics I have written on since starting this blog have been about being Fingertip dilated, and Fanoos Persian Tea house. OK. That’s not about ME so much. It’s a blow to my EGO. Help!Oh whatever…
