I’m planning how I am going to get through a very busy week. I have so many errands to run and so many events to plan or attend.
Tomorrow, I have to go to the library, post office, home improvement store, and grocery.
Tuesday – Playgroup and then I will be a “date” to an office party. (I really think this is going to be the highlight of my week. My friend Bambi is once again taking me to her company’s holiday get together. She says she takes me because Mommies generally get office parties that involve teddy bears as guests and imaginary tea and cake. I so love being able to go to a place where no one smells like spit-up…)
Wednesday is Ob-GYN day – my last post op appointment (I hope). Then Wednesday Night Live at the church where my children will be in the Christmas play. Eleanor is a lamb, and we’ve been working on singing “Away in a Manger” with hand motions. Saralyn is going to be Baby Jesus. This could all go very VERY wrong, but it should be funny. I plan to take lots of pictures.
Thursday is Playgroup again – we will be making bird feeders out of pine cones. THIS will be messy. I susspect that Tony will be playing trivia that night, I will be making preparations for the weekend.
Friday will be more cooking, planning and so on, and then my Friday evening Advent group. It’s nice to have this group discussion in my week. I get to think real grownup thoughts with other real grownups.
Saturday will be getting the house clean, and then the girls will be taped to a chair in the shed to keep the house clean.
Sunday – Church, Santa’s visit and later a Christmas party.
A full week to be sure. I hope I can keep up with the kids and the house and the spirit of the season. At least the gift shopping is done. I’m giving few gifts this year, and I will blog about that later.
SO – If it seems I’m not here, blogging for your approval, THAT’s why.
