It’s snowing. Hard. And it’s BEAUTIFUL!!! Snow like this is rare in Georgia. Fat and wet and piling up. As soon as I figure out how to get the pictures out of my phone, I will post a few photos. I need a cable or something. Maybe I need to get off my lazy tookus and get the real camera out.
However, back to the snow. We went out to run some errands this morning. I bought a new sewing machine at Target. I am going to bust it out of the box here in a bit. I am going to find a quilt pattern on-line and go have some fun. Perhaps make something for myself.
After Target, we went to Costco, and the snow was coming down harder. Every time we went out into the snow, Eleanor would just have a little cow over the flakes coming down. We’d catch some snow on our tongues and giggle and she wanted nothing more than to play in it.
When we got home, it was all we could do to get her inside to get extra warm pants on to go back out and play. She and her daddy threw every bit of snow off the deck into the back yard. It’s similar to something my mother told me a few days ago. She said that when she was living in Europe, her folks sent a picture to her of her mama, daddy, younger sister and a snowman. The picture was taken at their Oklahoma home, and Mom said that the only snow in the shot was Old Frosty. They had to use every flake in the yard to make the snowman! There’s not too much snow in Oklahoma, best to make the most of it.
Poor Elly didn’t want to come in from the snow, but her hands were flaming red and icy. She threw a monster tantrum, but we just couldn’t let her stay out there any longer.
Her pants were soaked through.
He little nose was like a beacon.
We had to promise she could go out again after naps.
And play songs from the Jungle Book.
Eleanor really is loving the snow, and really loving being in it with her daddy. How sad it is that by this time tomorrow, it will all be gone.
