Eleanor got a tea set from Auntie Sam yesterday. That was just 22 hours ago. We’ve been playing tea party for about 6 of those last 22 hours. Really.
She tea partied with Sam at the church. She popped up from her nap and tea partied with Granny and Gramby. (Evidently at this tea party our fair hostess dictated who could have cheese and who could have crackers, but none got both and one couldn’t switch with one’s neighbor. Tough tearoom.) She played and played. She gets into hot water when we tell her it’s time to put the set away. (She tends to throw things when she is unhappy and is certainly spiteful. She’d rather break the teapot than give it back to me to put away. It’s her most unbecoming feature.)
This morning, it was back to the Camellia sinensis grindstone. This time she shanghied her baby sister.
I call this Crack in the Teapot of Dawn:
I feel I will be at this for oolong time.
