I’m going to sound a little like I’m waxing poetic or nostalgic, but it’s what happened, so deal with it. OK?
I’m a popular girl this weekend. Lot’s of holiday events, and I’m bringing or making food for all of them. They include a neighborhood BBQ and kids parade, a rooftop fireworks outing, an old town fun fest and fireworks and a final BBQ on Saturday. What Am I cooking? Funny you should ask….
I’ve just been cooking since yesterday evening and have in the fridge Tabbouleh Salad, Soft pretzels two Cherry Clafouti, and some mild salsa. I looked in the fridge and realized my cooking for THE American Holiday were essentially a Middle Eastern side, a German bread, a French pastry and a South of the Boarder condament. Color me SO American.
So, I made brownies to tie it all together. Crazy!
