I joined Facebook today. I’m a bit behind the curve here. Not an early adopter, me.
I joined so I could see pictures of my friend Pedja’s beautiful baby girl. Pedja and his family live half a world away. It seems like such a neat way to get your pictures out there, to friends and such, but not have them OUT there. Fluttering in the eather – wind.
But, then I stared “searching”. Classmates from Howland High School, and I started looking at the names and then didn’t know what to do. My mild curiousity didn’t seem enough to me to invite these folks back into my life. There were one or two, but not many. A great number of names seemed familiar to me, but I couldn’t think of a single fact about any of them.
And what’s with the pictures that don’t help you identify the person. It’s called FACE-book for crying out loud. Get a good picture of your FACE. YOUR face, not the dog or your butt or your kids. YOURS.
