(Imagine me so sheepishly grinning…)
OK – I’ve been a very bad blogger. But in the last several days – several of you have asked – So, are you done? (in varying degrees of “I miss you” to “WTF?!”)
I am here now. I could make all kinds of noise about traveling to promote the book, moving to a new home, living on FACEBOOK (friend me! Emilie Pormen Bush) having a 2 and 4 year old and all associated baggage there in, but who wants to hear about that? Not even me.
Well, maybe a little, I do.
We FINALLY bought the house. The little cabin in the woods. The house we first offered on as a short sale 18 months earlier. We finally got it for 60K less than that. By that reason alone, I think the US government should have let the banks fail as they can’t find their asses with both hands, a map and a flashlight, but I digress. We are moved in, and part of the negotiations that led to the buying of this house (that is between me and my husband) was that we would have the yard DONE. The treecutters have been working for a week in the backyard, and the Lorax is rolling in his grave. When the guys come back – which could be weeks – to finish, I will post before and after pictures.
I’m still fat. That’s not changed. I’ve been vegan, and when I can’t be I’m vegetarian, and that helps, but I still love my food more than just about any other hobby in my life. I try to exercise. Last night we walked from the new house to the ice cream shop, to dinner at the pizza place and back. It was about 3 miles – plus all told, and Eleanor walked the whole way. Sara needed to be carried by her daddy a bit, but it was a full evening’s entertainment.
The church has a new pastor, and that means I have a new boss. That’s exciting. I’ll let you know how it goes there, too.
I am in chapter 5 of the follow up to Chenda and the Airship Brofman. It’s going much slower than before.
I know it doesn’t catch you all up, but it may get me back to started.
